Teenagers ready for Army Life

The Lancashire Evening Post celebrated teenagers from the Preston & Burnley Army Preparation Courses in an article on 13th May 2006. Five teens were pictured enjoying their success at the end-of-course Presentation Evening with Preston Centre Manager David Seekings. The students, who were all awarded prizes for their achievements, were Kirk Smith (Blackburn), Simon North (Leyland), Gerard Woodburn (Lancaster), Martin Smith (Preston) & Paul Kelly (Burnley).

The article includes comments from Lt Col Leanda Pitt who praised the APC saying, ‘The course is a fantastic way of helping young people to find a way in life. The course prepares them for the selection process but many of the students just need a helping hand and use the course as a means to find full time employment.’
